Family Fun for the Fourth

How's the for alliteration?

Emily's family had a reunion in Wisconsin over the 4th of July weekend. It was tons-o-fun and so good to see everyone. It's a miracle that so many were able to make it.

We started off the trip with Dane's first airplane ride to Milwaukee, WI via Las Vegas. He did amazingly well during the flights.
When we got to Milwaukee we picked up the rental car and started on the 4 hour drive to Pembine where the "cabin" is located. We were exhuasted when we got there, but it was worth the fun that awaited.

There was four-wheeling.
Plenty of chill time to catch up with each other.
Games of all sorts - one of the most popular was pass-the-baby.
A bunch of the gang went on a hike to the river.
Dane discovered the joy of reading on our trip (isn't this adorable?).
He's even being patriotic and sporting the red, white & blue.

On the last day of our trip Dane turned 2 months old.

It was a wonderful trip - we can't wait until the next reunion.

See you all in 2012!

Looks like so much fun! Phewph! You guys are so brave to take the little guy on a trip that far! We fear to drive any longer than an hour with Ella. So amazing Dane is 2 months old! He's lookin' like a smart & cute little guy! Wish I could hold him! Miss you guys lots!

Looks like you had a terrific time! I'm so glad Dane was good in the airplane for you. Dr. Seuss is Timothy's favorite--he is so ideal for little ones!
