Home Again

Our Houston internship has come to an end; Daniel ended up working until 4 am the last couple of days but he survived it and came out with a full-time job offer to boot! We haven't officially accepted it, but we're pretty sure we will. After a little car trouble we finally made it out of Houston and on to Dallas where we stayed for a few days visiting with my sister and Daniel's Aunt, Uncle and cousins.

We took the rest of the drive back at a slower pace so that I could work a few hours each day and so Daniel could get a rest from driving-I can't drive his car (it's a stick-shift), so he had to drive the whole way. What a champ!

We had a lovely welcome home party with friends and family; mother nature even gave us a "warm" welcome home with a lovely spring snow storm to the tune of 6 inches! Still, we are so happy to be home!

Pickin' and Grinnin'

During our weekend in Dallas a few weeks ago we went to the Farmersville Opry and heard some good old fashioned country music.

Neither one of us are fans of country music, but when in Rome, or rather Farmersville, do as they do. And out there in the country, there's not much else to do on a Saturday night.

It's been a while since we've seen so much white hair in one place.

Yes, seems it's a popular spot for the senior citizens. But despite the geriatric crowd and the decidedly country flare, the talent wasn't that bad. Once you got past the twang and the big hair and the cowboy boots, their voices were actually pretty good.

But don't think for a second, that this means we're going to start listening to country music.

Revelation

Why is it that we don't fully recogonize or appreciate what we have until it's gone? It would be nice to always remember to live in the moment and take advantage of everything we have while we have it...

That's why second chances are so great.

3 weeks until we're back in Utah! We've missed you!
