About Us

So, I've finally succumbed to the blogging bug. Basically I figured that blogging seemed like the most logical way to keep both our families updated on the happenings in our lives, especially as we prepare to move away for an internship in the near future.

The other week we were asked to speak in church and to introduce ourselves because we're new. So I had a little fun with that. Here's the little ditty I wrote about Daniel, though I didn't actually use most of it, it was still fun to write.

Daniel and I met last September in the Lakeridge 11th single’s ward and started dating the following month—he committed the unpardonable sin and asked me out on Facebook. But since I’m such a magnanimous person, I pardoned him and we went out. We got married on August 2 of this year and are living happily ever after. Daniel grew up in American Fork as the oldest, and cutest (sorry Mathew, Curtis and Michael) of 4 boys. He served in the Indianapolis, Indiana Mission where he learned to speak English. He studied at UVSC for several years in Computer Science, but decided that was too geeky; so he’s going to be an Accountant instead – because that’s only nerdy. So with 100 credits in his pocket he transferred to BYU and became the oldest person in his class. He is currently in his first year of the Master’s of Accounting Program and well, at least he’ll graduate before he turns 30. He enjoys food and YouTube and food and trying anything at least once, and sometimes twice just to make sure he really didn’t like it the first time. Pretty much he’s kind and brilliant and handsome and losing his hair. But most of all he has amazing eyes and a killer smile. And all of that is why I love him.

And then there’s me. I grew up in Tallmadge Ohio the 8th of 9 children. I graduated high school and moved to Utah to attend BYU. After my junior year of college I took a hiatus to serve a mission in Daejeon, South Korea where I also learned to speak English; and a little bit of Korean. Following my mission I came back to BYU to finish my senior year in Marketing Communications. For the last few years I have been working full-time in Benefits and HR administration and waiting for the love of my life to come along—worth every minute of the wait by-the-way. I enjoy reading and running and painting and lots of other things.

There is of course lots more to both of us, but I guess that's what this blog is for...us to explore ourselves and for you to be entertained by it...hopefully.
