The Weekend

Our first full weekend in Houston. It was great to be able to spend so much time together after the busy week we both had. Friday night we went to the Aquarium and it was lots of fun. We went pretty late at night so there wasn't a lot of people there and it was nice just to relax and enjoy the experience - especially after the stress of trying to actually get there, what should have taken about 15 minutes ended up taking over an hour :) But we're sure learning all the streets of Houston!

Saturday morning we headed off to the Space Center.

That was fun too but not quite as cool as I would have hoped.

From the Space Center we went to an area called the Heights and met up with Daniel's "Buddy" and his wife for lunch at a small BBQ place called Hickory Hollow. It was mighty tasty. There's one thing for sure, Texas has it's BBQ down.

Saturday night we decided to venture out to Super Wal-mart because we hadn't done any grocery shopping since we'd gotten here. Again, it's only like 3.5 miles from where we live but it took like 30 minutes to get there. Traffic in this city is crazy! Well, and we were driving past The Galleria which aparently is one of the biggest malls in these good old United Status of America and we're told that people even plan trips from out of country to shop here.
